About Me: worked in a Physio dept of a spinal unit where I found my vocation in life! I'm now a PA and network with peer support groups etc. Currently I am trying to set up a project to work towards providing halfway housing for new whelchair users leaving hospital......any help or ideas gratefully received!!

FifiWhat a great idea, the halfway house. It would be great to have the opportunity to integrate back into society and learn to live in the real world instead of being dumped back into the old environment with an altered body. I would comment that the perfect house would be great but the world outside is not perfect (for wheelchair) so perhaps making it a bit hard might not be a bad idea.
I found my old home so difficult that not only did I change house I changed countries!! After four years of living in France we are coming back to the UK to try to make the "perfect" house for us. Keep up the good work, I will be interested to see what you are achieving.
