A dune buggy hit me at 100 MPH!

Friday, December 7, 2007, 09:14 PM PST [General]

And now I'm in real hard shape!

The dunebuggy was going about 100 MPH when it hit me. I think being in my rhino would have been safer than being on my quad at this point. The front wheel on the dunebuggy hit my motorcycle boot that luckily, I had on. The doctors said that if I wasn't wearing that boot, I would have lost my foot for sure. My tib & fib bones broke in half & made them poke out of my leg. Then I went flying up into the air and landed on my head on the dunebuggies roof. Luckily I was wearing a helmet because the foam cracked inside the helmet and gave me brain damage. The brain damage has effected my toes and my speech greatly and made it so I can't extend my knees or elbows, not even close to all the way. Thats why I had surgery done on the back of my knees and my right hand. The surgery helped some but, not all the way. I used to be right handed. The brain damage was why I was in a coma for 2 months. The doctors thought I would die for sure. Luckily I didn't because, it allowed me to tell others about "JESUS". If that wasn't enough I also broke 3 vertebrae in my lower back & a rib and my elbow. If that wasn't enough I pulled the feeding tube out of my stomach (I was still in my coma and didn't know what I was doing). I was told that they had to do immediate stomach surgery on me and when they were done they used staples on 12 inches of my stomach to close it back up. The nurse forgot to tie my hands to the bed that night (oops). My sister walked in the room and saw that 3 doctors had sat me up in bed and were exercising me and moving my upper body back & forth. She asked the doctors "Didn't you guys read his chart". The doctors said "No" then after they read it they thought, we better lay him back down and stop. Luckily, I was in a coma through all of this. It was like being in Glamis one second and then the next second I was in some hospital room (and 2 months had already past though). My wife said they had to life flight me there. Before the accident I owned my own successful roofing company but, I don't think that I will be climbing on any roofs soon so, I gave up my roofing company. We didn't have any health insurance to cover the accident bills. In Glamis, if no one has been drinking, (and no one was drinking) then it's like to each thier own. Because of that mistake I lost my truck, my wife's minivan, our house, and more.
    Now we just survive, barely!

It's a lot better to have Jesus in your heart!

    Than money in your pocket.

I'm not putting money down, I'm just saying that having Jesus in your heart is better!
