How did that happen? the year is going by with the speed of light (doesn't it do that anyway?).
My trip to Eden was good, although it was really really busy on a rainy monday I suppose that it was a good indoor option for lots of people. But the advent of the digital camera or one that is attached to your phone creatd a bizzare phenomenon - people stopping and clicking every second or two then check up on the picture they had taken. Very difficult at the slow speeds in my almost uncontrollable electric wheelchair. I would like to congratulate Eden for their curtesy and help for disabled people, the site is very easy to get around and there are only a few "mountain passes" that are not negotiable. We did not eat there but the food looked good however the massed hoards looked like pigs at feeding time from the balcony so we gave it the blow by and went out for Indian food in the evening instead, which I might add was the hottest thing we encountered the whole time of our stay in Devon
We stayed in the Cliffden Hotel which is run by Action for the Blind in teignmouth but has eight w/c accessible bedrooms with wet rooms etc. I would highly recommend it, they are open all year round and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Now here we are in September and I finally have my new boots, blood red and fabulous. I walked up and down the corridor muttering "Red boots red boots" My husband asked me what I was doing so I told him of my cousin who was a small girl after the war got her first pair of red shoes and walked up and down the garden path muttering "red shoes red shoes" and Red shoes have been some thing special throughout my life and hers until her sudden demise. these are my first red boots for more than six years and I feel so special now that I have got them. I just wish my cousin was here to see them. Just got to wait for the new caliper to be ready. A bit of a problem as I have been following this weightwatchers plan for the last 16 weeks and have lost 4 inches of the circumference of my legs!!!!!! So a complete rebuild has got to be done, the calliper fitted almost nowhere, so my pilgrimages to Stoke will continue for the next month or two. I suspect that the new leather gear will be ready for Christmas.
And Christmas will soon be here!!! So start your shopping now before the shops are too crowded and whilst there are so many bargains about.
If you are thinking of getting a new car on Motability, have a good look at what bargains are out there now if you buy privately instead yesterday I saw prices reduced by £3-4K on new Mitsubishi cars and pickups. Loads of deals out there, they are desparate to sell cars so you have some good bargaining power and should have some money left to put fuel in your car from your mobility allowance!!
Must rush now before all the bargains are snapped up!!
