110508 Lonliness
2
After the
loneliness theme of yesterday , we were invaded by the horny babe “Blog
Police”. H’s “sister” and oldest friend, came and after sharing all the old
chestnuts e.g. she forgets our having sex,
On the way round
we joked about my spreading my seeds etc as we filled the two very bare ex
donkey **** areas with “Suttons” meadow seeds. The volumes of seeds we have
used, some MUST come up.

?
When we moved up
here from
It satred with
uffy rriving for sa two hour burst of clearing up and further organanising
horse poo. We have now created three vast, orgaqnised areas for Horse****-Sally
to deposit the goods. Even she should be able o revese the rtrailer into these
bays. Of corse I got too ot outside wilst I qwittered at duffuy. His future
employment will bew decided on Friday. He has organised a ack up already at
Purfitts, his ex employer. They are keen to take him back but thepay cut is not
desirable.
As he got ready to go uncle Bo turned up. LONELINESS 2? Despite him already having eaten
lunch, he of course said YES to the invite to join us and eat another H feast.
He left soon after and DP then turned up. LONELINESS 3 ? He and I had perhaps
our most open conversation. He said that he came here to get away from his
daily stress and grind and thinks for this and the meals that he eats here, he
is in in our debt. He in our debt? For all the gifts, chores he does etc, we
feel in his debt. That makes a good even relationship destined to last.
As we sat in the cool easterly
shade, Martin and his fellow councillor wife, Jenny, turned up with Bruce their
majestic black lab dog. . LONELINESS 4 & 5 ? We talked about ponds. What
else?
DP stayed for dinner of Indian
rice.
The conclusion
fronm today is that I'm NOT too lonely eh ?

entertainment from pup.
As I look at Bramble I thought
how lucky I was to have a companion like her. She never seems grumpy or pissed
off. (am I sure she is a she?). Amazingly, she doesn't exactly sprint to have
her lead put on. She doesn't seem to associate the Swiss trak, with going for a
walk, like dogs sometimes do with their owners getting the lead out or putting
shoes on. Likewise when I want to take her lead off, she stretches away so I
can't reach her collar, rather than making it easy by standing on my legs.
It always makes me nervous when
I take the lead off Bramble at the end of a walk because her collar for outside
will obviously not zap her, should she test her boundary. I'm a bit unsure
until someone arrives who could swap her collar.
When we get back from our
excursion, with weather like today, Bramble just lies in the sun for her afternoon
nap whilst she waits for me to transfer to my indoor chair and open the door. Then she runs in to one of her bed and flops
exhaustingly.
Cheryl 1+1 then
1..not good

gardener
Mark arrived at 07.00 (he says cos neither I nor my
security dog heard him) to do the spraying of the beds, patio, trees etc. I
finally managed to see him at 09.00. we kept all the pets until he’d finished.
The new napsac back sprayer works well despite him carrying I too low on his
shoulders.
I had a kipper for breakfast which was my treat. H
hates cooking them but once a week I get one. Today I had it with my Italian H
bread. The last piece was used for black currant jam to refresh my mouth.
I collated all my “Japanese knotweed” papers and
found an advisory number recommended to oiks like me. Colin at Monsanto was at the end of the line,
based in
Now how do I get a syringe and needle in a time of
widespread drug abuse ? that can't be too difficult can it ? doctor= can't help
you, district nurse = sorry, but good old Richie came up with the goods.
For the first time the district nurse didn't phone
to tell me when they would be here. I phoned the doctor to see if they could
help. a nurse phoned to see if she could come in 15 minutes. Perfrect, so we
waited for her to change my very stink=y catheter.
As soon as she had gone H got me onto the green
chair and we prepared for a Bramble walk.
Chris-Fish arrived and this week the total was more
than £50 including DP and Cheryl order. I’m stuffed after eating a load of
prawns and salmon gifts from Chris-Fish, including his lunch of chilled prawns.
070508 Is this
shorts weather 2 ?
After thinking about it, yesterday, today I annoyed
H with my indecisiveness about shorts or not. I decided YES and didn't regret
it.
Cheryl was here at 10.00 and I did 1 then 1+1. Better
than Sunday. She did her “star” role by getting me on the outside chair before
she left. My god does she does loads for me.
Off we went to Chris-Windows and his 5 dogs. I rang
him from halfway because I was almost out of water and I wanted to be able to
plan a drinks break. He seemed happy to have a break in his radiator mounting
chores but not so happy with the guy rendering his wall. Another time. At one
point Bramble and Max were quite calm with each other but just as I commented
they started up their rather violent game with Bramble hanging off his neck and
he nipping her hips.
Then we decided to move into Thorpe Abbotts to
hopefully see Sally’s mum Sue. I had to phone Sally from outside the house to
get her number only to find I had got it, after seeing the screen of the phone
!! We were joined by great-Grandma Rose, who lives next door in the converted
garage. Very strangely, Bramble took no interest in 10 week puppy or elderly
lab. She actually got aggressive with the pup, which is very strange since she
plays endlessly with her sister “Poppy”. Teenagers ?
We flew home and I transferred
easily and I sat down at 16.30 for lunch. Strangely I wasn’t very hungry. H
arrived at 20.00 for dinner of my favourite game bangers. Gorgeous.
We managed to watch both
Monday’s and Tuesday’s “Waking the dead”, which was not as good as the first
one of the series.
060508 Is this
shorts weather ?
This week is
going to be warm and 5 deg above average at 22/23 degrees. I think its time I diluted
down the shorts!!. (going to tonight’s meeting , I decided NOT)
I phoned Barry Day, our pond digger to confirm we
wanted him to do the work. He invited us to his current Laxfield project and his home in Fresingfield to see
some ponds he has made. According to 2 separate contacts he is “the God of
ponds”. Very re-assuring for my first “day-rate” job. I haven't persuaded him
to give us a quote largely because are still not sure what we want. We need to
sort out the areas, the slopes etc to calculate excess earth and water needs. We
also need to decide the bund’s dimensions and location.
It’s time of your life when parents of friends start
passing away. Today we went to a funeral in Ipswich of Jill’s father. It was a
nice service with a great speech by a friend and a brave prayer from Emma his
grandchild. After at the wake, I met an
interesting South African and his son. At one point I said “Should we be
laughing at this sort of wake?” he responded “Yes, Ray would have loved it!”. I
ate too many nice sarnies which means no hunger for tonight’s “Garden Open Day” meeting.
The meeting was chaired very professional by the
team who had to put up with loads of “experts” who liked the sound of their own
voices. Expertise in “signing” was quite surprising. Thankfully I sat next to
Ruth so I could share a few jokes.
Once were home it was 21.00 and I thought I was hungry.
H persuaded me otherwise, after my luch time pug out on quality sarnies….I
didn't even wake up hungry.
